Online Security

Online Security is a Top Priority

Resource Bank is proud to deliver the highest level of security for our Internet Banking customers. An additional layer of security is being added to our log in process. This will help ensure that your information is secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.

Stronger Security

The financial security of our clients is of the utmost importance to Resource Bank. We are constantly reviewing our technology to provide you with the most up-to-date internet security systems available. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce an update to our online banking security. Green Bar Technology (or Extended Validation SSL) has been added to online banking to enhance our already rigorous security measures. This more secure technology will replace the older multifactor authentication technology of the image and passphrase, also called enhanced online security.

With Green Bar Technology, you should now be seeing a green “padlock” image at the beginning of the web address, with “Secure” and “https:” displayed in green text.

For Internet Explorer users, the entire web address bar should appear green, with the “padlock” image appearing after the web address.

The padlock image, combined with the green text, provides visual confirmation that you are on the official Resource Bank, N.A. website. If your browser is not displaying this information in green, please stop and call our Internet Help Desk at (815) 756-6321.

What will change when I log in to online banking?

Users of online banking will no longer see the image and passphrase feature when logging on. Rather, the web address in your browser should have the green padlock and green text (or green bar on Internet Explorer), certifying that you are logging in to the official Resource bank online banking.

We appreciate your understanding as we implement this new technology for maximum account security. If you have any questions about Green Bar Technology, please call our Internet Help Desk at (815) 756-6321.
