Trains, Bells, and Gardens - An Open House at the Home of Steve and Pat Faivre
Tues., July 7
Activity Level Moderate - Steve and Pat Faivre of Sycamore are welcoming their fellow Classics Members to their home for an open house that will feature their beautiful outdoor gardens, the historic school bell of the St. Alban’s school that was located on the site, as well as a hidden masterpiece - Steve’s miniature electric train diorama. It has to be seen to be believed! Located in the lower level of the Faivre’s home, the train layout is a representation of Northern Illinois, and you will see quite a few familiar sights in miniature, including a tiny Resource Bank Sycamore Branch! The open house begins at 11:00 AM, and a box lunch from The Lincoln Inn is included. The address will be provided to attendees, and we will meet you there. Parking will be available on the street or in the parking lot across from their home. The maximum for this event is 25 attendees, but if needed, we will hold another open house on the same day at 4:00 PM. RSVP by June 30th. Members & Guests: $15.
Currency Through the Centuries

Activity Level Low - Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States by taking a fascinating journey through the history of money, from the earliest forms of currency to the coins and bills we use today. Presented by JP Coins and Collectables of Sycamore, guests will have the unique opportunity to see and even handle historic coins and currency while hearing the remarkable real-life stories behind how these monetary tools were created and why they mattered. The program will begin at 2:00 PM in both locations. Refreshments will be served. RSVP by August 3rd. Members $10 • Guests $12

Activity Level Low - Join us for an informative estate planning “lunch and learn” session starting at 11:00 A.M., hosted by the Trust Professionals at Resource Bank. During this session, they will explain the basics of estate planning, including how to organize your affairs, protect your assets, and make sure your wishes are carried out for your loved ones in the future. Unfortunately, not making a plan today can leave important decisions to others later, and the outcome may not reflect what you would want. Whether you already have documents in place or are just beginning to think about planning ahead, this session will provide practical guidance and helpful information to make the process easier to understand and navigate. Rockford Peaches Exhibit and Anderson Japanese Gardens

Activity Level Moderate - Step back in time as we visit the Midway Village Museum in Rockford to experience the Rockford Peaches exhibit, honoring the legendary All-American Girls Professional Baseball League team featured in the film A League of Their Own. Explore fascinating memorabilia, photographs, and stories that will bring the era to life. After the tour, we will head to the beautiful Anderson Gardens for lunch and time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Known as one of the finest Japanese gardens in North America, the gardens feature peaceful walking paths, flowing waterfalls, koi ponds, and stunning landscapes that create a truly memorable experience. Chicago Air and Water Show Cruise

Activity Level Moderate - The Chicago Air and Water Show is the largest show of its kind in the United States! This extraordinary event showcases daredevil pilots, parachute teams (including the U.S. Army Golden Knights!), and formation jet flyers (including the famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds!), as well as water-skiing and boat-jumping demonstrations. Plus, the best place to see the show is on the water! We will board the ship, Spirit of Navy Pier, at noon for an afternoon of Lake Michigan cruising, all while enjoying a brunch buffet and live DJ entertainment with a view of the show that is second-to-none! Classics Travel Policies
Trip Confirmation Notice
Classics sends out a confirmation reminder notice of payment due date, pickup time and location along with any other information regarding each trip at least two weeks prior to departure date for all trips.
Trip Cancellation Policy for Day Trips
When scheduling day trips, most vendors require full payment when booking the event. We request that full payment for a day trip be made 2 weeks in advance. If you have to cancel a trip and we can fill your space from a waiting list, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the trip after your payment is made, we will reimburse you when possible.
Trip Cancellation Policy for Extended Trips
Cancellation policies on extended trips are outlined by respective tour companies as stated in their trip brochure. Trip Travel Insurance is always a wise investment when going on extended trips.
