Drift Away Into Fall

October 20, 2018

Activity Level 1 - Kevin Miller and Brien Prenevost, two local gentlemen from Hampshire, IL, have been entertaining the Chicagoland area since their first sockhop in the 6th grade. They can also be found playing with Miller’s Hometown Band which they co-founded in 1979. Their music is played in wide variety from the 1960’s through today. Holiday Party

Activity Level 1 - Join us for a charming afternoon as we are served a delectable dinner by Headon and Sons and enjoy wonderful entertainment. We will be drawing the winner for The Classics Garden Path Quilt. You may purchase tickets at any of our 11 convenient locations. Soup Sampling

January 15, 2019 in Somonauk and January 17, 2019 at HearthStone Center

Activity Level 1 - We are continuing with our tradition of wonderful, hearty, tasty soups to sample! Prepare your most delicious soup recipe and we will sample them all at noon. It is a real treat to try all the different soup selections. For those who do not wish to bring soup, please bring a few sandwiches to accompany our taste-testing feast. Desserts, beverages and table service will be provided. We will also have a guest speaker. Doors open at 11:00 a.m.

Washington D.C. - Embassy Week!

May 2-7, 2019

Activity Level 6 - We had so much fun on our last trip to Washington, D.C., and there is more we want you to see, so we are going back! This time we will be flying to Washington D.C. to experience Embassy Week! We have arranged a very special evening for our guests to enjoy a dinner in a Foreign Embassy as well as tour many of the embassies! You’ll also tour Arlington National Cemetery and Monticello, home of our third President and author of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a performance at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, enjoy a tasty brunch aboard the Odyssey Cruise Ship while floating down the Potomac River; visit the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court Building, Washington National Cathedral, and so very much more!!

The trip will include round trip transportation, airfare, porterage and transfers; five nights lodging, breakfast daily, one brunch, and five dinners, and all admissions and tours as described in the detailed itinerary. Classics Travel Policies

Trip Confirmation Notice

Classics sends out a confirmation reminder notice of payment due date, pickup time and location along with any other information regarding each trip at least two weeks prior to departure date for all trips.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Day Trips

When scheduling day trips, most vendors require full payment when booking the event. We request that full payment for a day trip be made 2 weeks in advance. If you have to cancel a trip and we can fill your space from a waiting list, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the trip after your payment is made, we will reimburse you when possible.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Extended Trips

Cancellation policies on extended trips are outlined by respective tour companies as stated in their trip brochure. Trip Travel Insurance is always a wise investment when going on extended trips.

Activity Levels

The higher the Activity Level number, the more walking involved. All activities are in the Bethany Road Community Center unless otherwise stated.

Activity Level 1: Very little walking, no stairs.
Activity Level 2: A little walking, possible stairs.
Activity Level 3: Walking, getting on and off the coach, and possible stairs.
Activity Level 4: Walking, getting on and off the coach several times and stairs on the trip.
Activity Level 5: Walking distances which might be on non-flat surfaces, getting on and off the coach multiple times, and stairs.
Activity Level 6: All of the above, including multiple flights of stairs and activities requiring a higher level of stamina.
