Wisconsin's Cranberry Harvest Tour & Amish Backroads

September 9-10, 2019

Activity Level 5 - Did you know that Wisconsin is the nation’s leading producer of cranberries? Catch a glimpse of this harvesting process during a guided riding tour of a Cranberry Marsh. We will stop at the Cranberry Discovery Center where you will take a self-guided tour through the museum that includes a tasty cranberry-infused lunch! On our second day we will travel “Down a Country Road” in Cashton, WI where Chuck and Kathy invite you to their farm in the heart of Wisconsin’s largest Amish community. Set amongst the gorgeous rolling countryside, the farm is home to the Village Shops which showcase many hand-crafted treasures. Then Kathy will join us for a step back in time to a quieter, simpler way of life as we travel through serene Amish back roads. Activity Level 3 - Did you have the opportunity to see Coach Nagy when he visited DeKalb High School in March? During his inspirational talk, he gave us a sneak peek about his goals for the season, so we thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to see a game and find out how Coach Nagy implements his coaching skills?” Join us as we travel to Soldier Field in Chicago to watch Coach Nagy and the Chicago Bears in a SPECTACULAR SHOWDOWN against the Minnesota Vikings! Take the worry and the stress out of fighting the traffic on game day by coming with The Classics! Join us in Hampshire and bring antiques that you would like to get an appraisal for (two items maximum per household.)  Randy Donley from Donley Auction and Brett Doherty from Studio 2015 will be our experts available to talk to you about your treasures. If you are interested, you may be able put your items up for sale through consignment or at an upcoming auction. This event will be from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will be on hand with food and beverages available for purchase! This is a free event to Members and Guests.

The Pioneer Woman Mercantile & Magnolia Market

Activity Level 6 - Join The Classics as you travel southwest!  On this journey, you will board a covered wagon for a city tour of Independence, MO followed by a drive to The Pioneer Woman Mercantile - a destination restaurant, bakery and store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma! Ree and Ladd Drummond spent years renovating the hundred-year-old Osage Mercantile building on Main Street so that they could welcome visitors from near and far and give them a slice of small town hospitality. We will also visit the Little Shop on Bosque, the original home of Magnolia Market that is now an outlet store, and to culminate this fabulous trip, visit Chip & Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Market! Classics Travel Policies

Trip Confirmation Notice

Classics sends out a confirmation reminder notice of payment due date, pickup time and location along with any other information regarding each trip at least two weeks prior to departure date for all trips.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Day Trips

When scheduling day trips, most vendors require full payment when booking the event. We request that full payment for a day trip be made 2 weeks in advance. If you have to cancel a trip and we can fill your space from a waiting list, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the trip after your payment is made, we will reimburse you when possible.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Extended Trips

Cancellation policies on extended trips are outlined by respective tour companies as stated in their trip brochure. Trip Travel Insurance is always a wise investment when going on extended trips.

Activity Levels

The higher the Activity Level number, the more walking involved. All activities are in the HearthStone Center unless otherwise stated.

Activity Level 1: Very little walking, no stairs.
Activity Level 2: A little walking, possible stairs.
Activity Level 3: Walking, getting on and off the coach, and possible stairs.
Activity Level 4: Walking, getting on and off the coach several times and stairs on the trip.
Activity Level 5: Walking distances which might be on non-flat surfaces, getting on and off the coach multiple times, and stairs.
Activity Level 6: All of the above, including multiple flights of stairs and activities requiring a higher level of stamina.
