Paint and Pour at the Kirkland and Leland Branches

Tuesday, February 28 at Kirkland

Activity Level 1 - Do you enjoy painting, or have you always wanted to try making something with your own
hands? Sometimes we decide at a young age if we are “artistic,” but all of us can nurture creative growth by
painting! Come to the Kirkland or Leland branch to make and take your very own canvas creation! Jennifer
Schneck, owner of Bleu Palette in Sycamore, will take you step-by-step through this fun painting process.
Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 2:00 p.m. RSVP by February 24. Light appetizers
and drinks will be served! Members: $40 • Guests: $42

Activity Level 1 - If you take a look at the event below, you will see we will be having a Kentucky Derby Party
on May 6. Well, what is the fun of a Kentucky Derby event without a stylish (or outlandish) hat?! Bring a
friend and a hat to start with, and we will provide the DIY supplies to decorate! We will have snacks and
drinks to enjoy. The event will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. RSVP by March 31. $10 if you bring your own
hat • $15 to receive a hat to decorate

 

New Member Welcome at HearthStone Center*

Sunday, April 1 at HearthStone Center*
Activity Level 1 - Let’s welcome the newest Classics members with a dessert and wine reception from 2:00
p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Existing members are invited to welcome our new members to the Classics Club. Share
your great experience, and help them get to know all the benefits membership offers! New members will
have the opportunity to meet investment, insurance, and banking advisors, as well as to make new friends.
RSVP by March 26. FREE!

 

Celebrate the Kentucky Derby!

Saturday, May 6 at HearthStone*
Activity Level 1 - Join us for an afternoon of Kentucky Derby fun! Please bring your Kentucky Derby hat and
enjoy the greatest two minutes in equine sports! We will be placing bets (just for fun), and you might get a
prize if your pick wins! Awards will also be handed out for best hat or best dressed. Doors will open at 4:00
p.m. Television coverage of the Derby begins at 4:00 p.m., and the post time will be approximately 5:45 p.m.
We will enjoy light appetizers and drinks during the event. RSVP by May 1. Members: $50 • Guests: $55

 

Classics Exclusive Day Trips

1776 - The Musical at the CIBC Theatre in Chicago

Saturday, March 11
Activity Level 2 - This classic Tony Award-winning musical from 1969 by Sherman Edward and
Peter Stone is based on the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence,
telling the story of the efforts of John Adams to persuade his colleagues to vote for American
Independence and sign the document. It is a treat for music lovers and history buffs alike. This
unique production features the celebrated Broadway cast that reflects multiple representations
of race, gender, and ethnicity! Masks are encouraged, but not required during the show. This
trip includes tickets to the show and easy coach travel to and from the theatre. There are twenty
tickets available for this show, so act fast! Payment is due at the time of registration and is not
refundable. Members: $153.00 • Guests: $168.00.

 

 

Lizzardo Museum of Lapidary Art and Naper Settlement

Tuesday, April 11
Activity Level 3 - Travel with us to Oak Brook, IL and visit The Lizzardo Museum of Lapidary Art. The
Museum is dedicated to displays of gemstones, jewelry, and bejeweled objects. Discover one-of-a-kind
gem treasures! See an extraordinary collection of gems, hardstone carvings, rocks, and minerals from
around the world. After lunch, we will travel to the Naper Settlement in Naperville, an award-winning
outdoor history museum. Located downtown, just steps away from the Riverwalk, it is sprawled across
thirteen acres. Visitors can explore the grounds and thirty historic buildings, and learn how the past relates
to the present, from pioneer times to today. The price includes transportation by convenient coach, lunch,
admission to all activities, and all gratuities. RSVP by March 31. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Activity Level 4 - Join us on this four day, three night trip to Memphis, TN. We will stay three nights at the
Holiday Inn Memphis Downtown, located one block from the famous Beale Street! Enjoy a guided tour
of Memphis, including the March of the Ducks at the Peabody Hotel, Sun Studio, National Civil Rights
Museum, Memphis Rock n’ Soul Museum, Graceland, and much more! The price includes a three-night
hotel stay, four breakfasts, three dinners, transportation, admission to all activities, and all gratuities. RSVP

Activity Level 6 - This five-day trip features both the Canadian and American sides of the mighty Niagara
Falls! Venture on the famous Maid of the Mist, and see the Cave of the Winds. Other amazing experiences
include the Whirlpool Aero Car (a cable car over the falls), the town of Niagara On the Lake, the Erie Canal
and Buffalo River Cruise, Ice Wine Tasting, and much more! Please contact Classics for brochure, price,

Classics Travel Policies

Trip Confirmation Notice

Classics sends out a confirmation reminder notice of payment due date, pickup time and location along with any other information regarding each trip at least two weeks prior to departure date for all trips.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Day Trips

When scheduling day trips, most vendors require full payment when booking the event. We request that full payment for a day trip be made 2 weeks in advance. If you have to cancel a trip and we can fill your space from a waiting list, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel the trip after your payment is made, we will reimburse you when possible.

Trip Cancellation Policy for Extended Trips

Cancellation policies on extended trips are outlined by respective tour companies as stated in their trip brochure. Trip Travel Insurance is always a wise investment when going on extended trips.

Activity Levels

The higher the Activity Level number, the more walking involved. All activities are in the HearthStone Center unless otherwise stated.

Activity Level 1: Very little walking, no stairs.
Activity Level 2: A little walking, possible stairs.
Activity Level 3: Walking, getting on and off the coach, and possible stairs.
Activity Level 4: Walking, getting on and off the coach several times and stairs on the trip.
Activity Level 5: Walking distances which might be on non-flat surfaces, getting on and off the coach multiple times, and stairs.
Activity Level 6: All of the above, including multiple flights of stairs and activities requiring a higher level of stamina.
