We all know that change is a fact of life.  Time marches on, and with it comes new perspectives, innovations, and opportunities.  One thing that will not change is Resource Bank’s dedication to our “Rock Principles”; Enriching the Lives of Our Customers, Caring for Our Communities, and Believing in the American Dream.  

For the last 39 years, Diana Shott, President and Chief Executive Officer, has worked to ensure those values continue well into the future.  It is with a bittersweet sense of appreciation and gratitude that we announce Diana will be retiring at the end of this year.  We are deeply grateful for Diana’s remarkable talents and her unwavering dedication to the Resource Bank family.  

As you can imagine, we have been planning for this day for some time.  We are pleased to share with you that Diana’s successor as Bank President and Chief Executive Officer, Don O’Day, will be joining the Bank in July as part of a planned transition ahead of Diana’s retirement at the end of December.  We believe that he will be a great steward of the Bank for years to come.   

Now, with this change, you may ask what this means for our valued clients, the Bank, and the communities we serve.  It means that the Bank is not being sold.  In fact, it means just the opposite.  With a respected successor in place, Resource Bank will continue forward with purpose, remaining faithful to the idea of ensuring our future as your independent, locally-owned, community bank.  Though our products and services will continue to evolve and change, our commitment to our Rock Principles remains rock solid.
