A community event uniting more than 30 DeKalb County not-for-profit groups, working to provide a weekend of Halloween fun for all.

The Sycamore Pumpkin Festival returns October 21–25, 2026! This beloved community tradition brings five days of fall fun to downtown Sycamore, including hundreds of decorated pumpkins, carnival rides, craft and vendor shows, food, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Festivities begin Wednesday with pumpkin check-in and the opening cake-cutting ceremony. Thursday features downtown trick-or-treating, followed by carnival rides and additional activities beginning Friday.

Saturday is packed with entertainment, including magic and lumberjack shows, a pancake breakfast, craft shows, the Historic Homes Tour, pie-eating contest, and more.

The festival wraps up Sunday with the Sycamore Chamber 10K Pumpkin Run and the annual Pumpkin Festival Parade at 1 p.m.
